San Francisco to Austin Roadtrip

Well guys, I just said goodbye to San Francisco and I guess time will tell if I left my heart there. I bought a house and hit the road headed for Austin, TX. After 4 days and 4 states, here were some of my favorite places we stopped.

Red House BBQ in Tehachapi, CA. No, we couldn't wait til we got to Texas for BBQ. It was a good solid meal after a long day on the road.

El Travatore Motel in Kingman, AZ. Quite possibly the most adorable motel ever. The hosts were just as quirky and had just as much character as all the rooms. We stayed in the Audrey room. Obvs.

The Grand Canyon. Absolutely breathtaking.

One of the funnest parts of the trip was going to the Barringer Meteorite Crater. Because space. Seriously, it feels like you're on Mars. It's the most well-preserved impact crater on Earth. It's huge!! And a whole lot of fun if it's really windy out. Hold on to your hats and well, everything!

Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX was the kookiest road-side attraction. Grab a can of spray paint, leave your mark, clean up after yourself and take advantage of this bizarre photo-op.

Now that I'm in Austin, can't wait to explore it more. Here are some of the snapshots from the road. Follow more of my adventures on Instagram.
